NLP Study - NLP Programs
by Robyn Tellefsen
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (

NLP

) is the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from it. Predicated upon the belief that all behavior has structure, NLP helps people detect and reprogram unconscious patterns of thought and behavior in order to alter psychological responses and enhance the healing process.

What You'll Learn
With NLP training, you'll learn to look for clues in a person's set speech and behavior patterns and provide the client with cognitive tools to alter that behavior and its results. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is not a diagnostic tool, a set of techniques, or a form of therapy. Rather, it is a creative educational tool and can therefore only be taught and applied experientially.

Degree Types
Diploma and certificate programs as well as continuing education credits are available with NLP training.

Career Paths
NLP is used by business professionals, counselors, educators, healers, health care practitioners, hypnotherapists, personal development coaches and speakers, real estate agents, sales professionals, social workers, therapists, and more.

Job Outlook
Job opportunities are virtually limitless for those who learn and successfully apply NLP in their careers. Plus, NLP practitioners may use their powers of influence and persuasion to climb the career ladder and negotiate a higher salary.
